Nationally renowned artist Joseph Getsinger was commissioned by PSP-HEMC to create a Pennsylvania State Police Centennial painting, "Honor of the Force." Mr. Getsinger is best known for his extensive body of work depicting crisp, richly painted Rockwellian genre vignettes of State Trooper life. Getsingers' treatment of the conceptual appears above. His rendering is a memory that all Pennsylvania Troopers share when they had to endure the rigors of training at the State Police Academy, when they were able to use all of that training on their "First Patrol," and the pride of finally getting to wear the uniform after months of training. This is the second print this artist has created for the Pennsylvania State Police. These prints are sold un-matted and unframed, so you may have them framed to compliment your own decor and personal preferences. We have seen a number of them framed in various ways and each looked unique. This is something you or whomever you gift it to can treasure for generations to come.
